Lucem Institute teaching style
The primary goal of the courses is to teach communicative competence, that is, the ability to communicate in Spanish according to the situation, purpose and roles of the participants. The courses are based on the clear identification of the objectives of the students, the pace calculated to challenge them all the time and the use of the newest and most effective teaching resources such as textbooks, audio cassettes, CD roms, videos and magazine and newspaper articles.
Also, as part of the training, Lucem Institute plans a variety of activities that allow students to practice their Spanish skills and become better acquainted with their teachers and our culture. Typical student activities include movies, concerts, museums, shopping, recreational sports and weekend trips to nearby locations: the beach, the river, the mountains and the estancias on the plains of Buenos Aires province.
